James Thirunelliparambil, DPT
A licensed Physical Therapist with extensive experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, pain management, and post-operative care. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Calicut, India, and later completed my Post-Professional Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Utica University, New York. My career started in Detroit in 2002 and later brought me to the Chicago suburbs in 2005. Along the way, I owned and managed a staffing agency for physical, occupational, and speech therapists for over a decade, giving me a broad perspective on rehabilitation care. Currently, I work at the Veterans' Health Care Outpatient Clinic, where I’m honored to help those who have served our country.
I recently trained in the McKenzie Method for Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Lumbar Spine), and my clinical interests include orthopedic rehab, pain management, post-operative recovery, and fall risk reduction. I take a biopsychosocial approach to treatment, focusing on building strong relationships with my patients and providing personalized care. By combining manual therapy with evidence-based practices, my goal is to help people move better, feel better, and get back to doing what they love.
I live in Northbrook, IL, and when I’m not in the clinic, you can usually find me playing badminton or tennis, working out, running, or catching a soccer or cricket match. I also love spending time with family and friends. I’m excited to be part of Quality Physical Therapy and look forward to helping our community stay active and healthy!
